Job Description
We are currently seeking a Nights Transport Planner to join our Transport Team for our Consumer Beverage sector at our Rugby site. As a Transport Planner, you will contribute to the success of the transport team by overseeing the day-to-day planning of our transport operations. You should be highly motivated, experienced in fast-paced environments, and capable of handling daily challenges to develop effective transport plans.
Working hours: 4 on 4 off NIGHTS 18:00 - 06:00
Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum
Key Duties of a Transport Planner:
* Collaborate with Transport and Warehouse teams to create efficient transport plans using the latest TMS software.
* Assemble over 400 consolidated orders daily into loads.
* Plan and coordinate orders from multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites across the UK, including subcontracting as needed.
* Manage daily fleet workload, including vehicles based on site and outbases.
* Report issues, resolve problems, and handle queries promptly.
* Plan approximately 100 collections daily on a time-critical basis.
* Maintain and exceed KPIs.
* Continuously seek process improvements.
* Make decisions under pressure within tight deadlines.
* Adapt flexibly to meet business needs, especially during peak periods.
* Utilize the Culina Group network efficiently to support volume demands.
* Possess good geographical knowledge of the UK.
* Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
* Experience planning units across multiple depots.
* Exhibit excellent communication skills and thrive under pressure.
* Focus on delivery performance and customer satisfaction.
* Be commercially and financially aware, aiming for exceptional results.
* Experience with TMS systems and in FMCG environments.
* Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capabilities.
