We are currently consulting with a private Healthcare provider seeking an experienced Quality, Compliance & CQC Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. Main Purpose: To lead the Hospitals compliance with CQC regulations, oversee quality assurance activities across all departments, and ensure the organisation is fully prepared for inspection. This role will act as the central point of coordination for clinical and non-clinical teams on regulatory compliance, risk management, and audit delivery. The postholder will ensure the hospital delivers safe, effective, and well-led care aligned with CQC Fundamental Standards and other key regulatory expectations. Duties / Responsibilities - Develop and lead the hospitals CQC inspection readiness programme - Maintain and continuously update a comprehensive CQC evidence portfolio, mapped to the 5 key lines of enquiry - Coordinate mock inspections, staff preparation, and post-inspection improvement plans - Support senior leadership in meeting CQC requirements including statutory notifications and policy adherence - Act as the primary liaison for CQC site visits, communications, and action tracking - Implement a structured quality assurance programme, including audits, KPIs, incident reviews, and clinical dashboards - Support the Clinical Governance Committee with reporting, data collection, and improvement initiatives - Collaborate with heads of service to ensure timely completion of audits, policy updates, and outcome reporting - Monitor and promote learning from incidents, near misses, complaints, and patient feedback - Maintain the hospitals risk register and support root cause analyses (RCA) and action planning - Coordinate the regular review and update of policies related to safety, governance, safeguarding, and infection control - Oversee training compliance in key governance areas including mandatory training, safeguarding, and information governance - Ensure alignment with external guidance (e.g. NICE, GMC/NMC codes, HTM/HBN standards) - Provide training and support to clinical and non-clinical teams on compliance and CQC standards - Promote a proactive culture of safety, transparency, and continuous improvement - Develop internal reporting templates and monthly compliance dashboards for leadership oversight The ideal candidate will have relevant experience and ability to hit the ground running.
