This role offers an excellent opportunity to take on additional responsibility while making a meaningful contribution to pupils’ education. Early Career Teacher (ECT)s are welcomed to the role. Role Overview: As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will support class teachers with lesson delivery, lead small group sessions, and take responsibility for whole-class teaching when required. You will play a key role in raising achievement and ensuring pupils have a positive learning experience. Role Responsibilities: Assist in planning and delivering high-quality lessons. Provide targeted support to pupils both in groups and on a 1:1 basis. Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher. Monitor and track pupil progress, offering feedback to staff and pupils. Encourage a positive and inclusive learning environment. Requirements for Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA): HLTA status or equivalent qualification/experience. Previous experience working within a primary or secondary school. Strong communication, behaviour management and teamwork skills A proactive, flexible approach to supporting teaching and learning Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
