About AcuteCognitiveUnit
TheAcuteCognitive Unit(ACU)is a20 bedinpatient unit thatprovides inpatient care to patients with complexpsychosocial,cognitiveand physical needs.TheACUsupports patients who may be eligible for rehabilitation,geriatric evaluation,managementand maintenance episodes of care andrequire in addition intensive, multidisciplinary inputtoascertaindischarge disposition or address functional andpsychosocial barriers to discharge, following their acute episode ofcare.
About your new role
As a valuedmember of theACU team, youwillprovide professional andclinical leadership, advanced level consultation and evidence basedneuropsychological services within a collaborative multidisciplinary frameworkto adult inpatients and outpatients withacquiredbrain injury,neurological and neurodegenerativedisordersand mental healthcomorbidities. This includes
* Providingadvanced level, specialised clinicalneuropsychological services ofa highly complexand variednature
* Leadingand contribute to clinical governanceand professional competence in neuropsychology at a service and statewidelevel
* Providingexpert guidance to service planning,and lead change through the implementation of service improvement andevaluation initiatives
Qualifications
* Tertiary degree in Psychology (orequivalent)
* Area of practice endorsement as a ClinicalNeuropsychologist
* Psychology Board of Australia endorsement tosupervise postgraduate students, provisional psychologists, andpsychologists
* AHPRA Registration
* Evidence of vaccination, or be able to bevaccinated againstand remain vaccinated against- Measles,Mumps, Rubella, Varicella,PertussisandHepatitis B
* Tuberculosis screening, toidentifyifthe tuberculosis vaccination may berequired
* Declaration of serious discipline history must bedisclosed
* Criminal History Screening willberequiredfor new employees (GCH will cover cost)
