Operating from a COMAH-regulated site in West Yorkshire, the company produces essential products used across water treatment, food and beverage, agriculture, and industrial sectors. EC&I ENGINEER
To £70k + Benefits
* Work as part of the Maintenance team to ensure the Top Tier COMAH site is operating in a safe and productive manner and maintain and improve undertaking all duties in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and working to all relevant standards.
* Creating EC&I drawings (e.g., Block Cable Diagrams, Single Line Diagrams), technical specifications, and basis of design documents.
* Producing and checking various documents like risk registers, testing strategies, method statements, and technical files for new equipment.
* Participating in HAZOPs, design reviews, and contributing to safety case development.
* Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards, legislation, and project requirements, including safety and functional safety aspects.
* Checking the quality of design deliverables and ensuring they meet the required standards.
* Supporting the commissioning process, potentially including site visits and overnight stays.
* Identifying and resolving technical issues, often requiring a proactive and practical approach.
* Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems effectively.
What You’ll Bring
* HNC/HND or degree in Electrical, Control or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent).
* Proven experience in an EC&I or similar engineering role within a chemical, process, or manufacturing environment.
* Working knowledge of PLC/DCS/SCADA systems and associated software.
* Experience with COMAH and hazardous area installations (ATEX / DSEAR).
* A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
