Job Description
We are partnering with a large, national service provider delivering integrated solutions across security, cleaning, recruitment, and training. As part of their continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Head of Tendering Centre to lead and develop their group-wide tendering function.
This is a senior leadership opportunity responsible for overseeing the end-to-end tender process across multiple service divisions, supporting both new business growth and client retention.
You will lead bid teams, coordinate complex submissions and ensure proposals are high-quality, compliant, commercially strong and solutions-focused across both public and private sector opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the full end-to-end tender process, ensuring consistency, quality and compliance
* Manage and mentor bid teams, coordinating multiple concurrent tenders
* Translate complex requirements into clear, structured and compelling proposals
* Build cross-functional stakeholder teams to deliver solutions-led submissions
* Review and approve tender submissions prior to release
* Maintain and develop a centralised tender content library
* Provide board-level reporting on tender activity, pipeline and win rates
* Analyse tender outcomes and feedback to continuously improve success rates
* Strengthen bids through innovation, ESG, social value and strategic positioning
* Work closely with operational teams to manage retender pipelines and client retention
Experience Required
* 3–5 years’ experience in bid management, tendering or proposal development
* Experience working within service-led or multi-site organisations (FM, outsourcing, or similar sectors advantageous)
* Proven experience managing public and private sector tender submissions
* Experience leading or mentoring bid teams and managing competing deadlines
* Strong knowledge of procurement frameworks, tender portals and compliance processes
* Track record of producing high-quality written tender responses
* Experience collaborating with senior stakeholders across multiple departments
* APMP certification (or working towards) desirable
* Exceptional written communication and attention to detail
