Job Summary
The SIA is the organisation responsible for the regulation of private security. It is an independent, arm’s length body (ALB) of the Home Office, reporting to the Home Secretary, under the terms of the Private Security Industry Act 2001. The SIA’s purpose is protecting the public through effective regulation of the private security industry and working with partners to raise standards across the sector. Its regulatory remit covers the whole of the United Kingdom.
Senior Manager – Intelligence (Research, Analysis & Engagement)
We are looking for an exceptional senior manager to develop and lead a high‑performing team at the heart of protecting the public, strengthening regulation, and tackling emerging threats across critical sectors. This rare opportunity allows you to shape and lead a modern intelligence function operating across strategic, tactical and operational levels. You will oversee researchers, analysts and specialist partner engagement leads, turning information into actionable intelligence that informs decisions, directs operational activity, and supports national priorities.
Responsibilities
* Identify and assess serious and organised crime risks, counter‑terrorism considerations, and the implementation of Martyn’s Law.
* Turn intelligence into decisions that inform operational activity and support national priorities.
* Build trusted partnerships with senior stakeholders across government departments, policing, counter‑terrorism networks, regulatory bodies and internal leadership teams.
* Manage competing priorities and lead teams through complex challenges while driving continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
* Significant experience managing intelligence, research or analytical teams within law enforcement, regulatory or public sector settings.
* Strong leadership, management of competing priorities and ability to guide teams through complex challenges.
* Experience fostering talent development and driving continuous improvement.
