Senior Care Assistant Nights. Manor Park Care Home
Hours: 44 hours per week
Salary: £14.23 per hour
Shift Pattern: 8pm-8am
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Practitioner to join our night team at the brand-new Manor Park Care Home, opening in the heart of Malton.
As a Senior Care Assistant on nights, you will take a lead role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of our residents during overnight hours. You’ll support and guide the night care team, respond to residents’ needs, and ensure a calm, secure environment throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities.
Lead the night care team in delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
Administer medication safely and in accordance with care plans and policies.
Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, responding promptly to any changes.
Provide personal care and support with dignity and respect.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of care records and handovers.
Support and mentor night staff, promoting best practices and teamwork.
Carry out regular checks and ensure the home remains safe and secure overnight.
Liaise with on-call management or healthcare professionals when necessary.
Prepare the home for the following day, including light housekeeping and documentation.
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in a senior care role, ideally in a residential or nursing home.
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it).
Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.
A calm, compassionate, and professional approach to overnight care.
Confidence in administering medication and using care systems.
