Eurofins Warrington, United Kingdom. We are recruiting for a Facilities Assistant to join our team at our Birchwood Park site, Warrington. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established and successful market leading company with over 30 years’ experience in providing Forensic Services to police forces, other public sector bodies, and commercial organisations.
This role supports the Facilities Manager to ensure the smooth running of the site and is suitable for someone looking to begin or continue a career in facilities management.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
* Respond quickly to ad-hoc requests from all areas of the business.
* Complete routine inspections/surveys as required and identify faults.
* Complete and own Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities.
* Reception duties as required, including booking in and supervising contractors.
* Engage with internal and external facilities contacts; provide support and guidance for facilities-based projects.
* Perform basic plumbing, maintenance, moving furniture, changing light bulbs, and general decoration as required.
* Arrange meetings with internal stakeholders; ensure defined actions are agreed and progressed.
* Investigate and rectify facilities-related issues identified through risk assessments, audits, or inspections.
* Maintain clear records for facilities and project activity, including maintenance records, site details, maintenance contracts, and legal records.
* Process requisitions on the company finance system and follow up orders; resolve outstanding invoices and requisitions.
* Support internal and external audits and visits, including facilities, H&S, scientific, security, and BCDR as directed.
* Support Operational Teams to ensure facilities laboratory capability is maintained.
* Stay aware of developments in facilities management and apply relevant ones to the business.
* Complete facilities administration tasks and support the National Facilities team where required.
To work with the Quality and Compliance team to ensure all components align with the overall business strategy and direction.

Knowledge, Experience and Technical skills required
* Knowledge of Health and Safety working practices.

Additional Information
Due to the highly sensitive nature of the work, security clearance is required for this role. To gain security clearance you must have five years of continuous residency in the UK. Security clearance is undertaken by a third party to police vetting standards (NPPV/3 and SC); some criminal convictions may prevent clearance. Drug and alcohol testing is required prior to employment.
