Job Title: Asset Maintenance Assistant Manager

Salary: From £34,100 depending on skills and experience
About the role:
We’re looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Asset Maintenance Assistant Manager to support the effective operation, performance, safety, and compliance across our wastewater sites.
You’ll help lead the team, deputise for the Field Performance Manager, and ensure high standards in service delivery, risk management, maintenance planning, and environmental performance.
What you will be responsible for:
1. Supporting the Manager in overseeing daily operations, including staff supervision, scheduling, and performance management
2. Monitor service quality, addressing issues promptly and effectively
3. Assist with inventory management, procurement, and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
4. Prepare and present reports on operational performance
5. Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of new initiatives.
6. Support planning and delivery of reactive and planned maintenance.
7. Support the implementation and enforcement of company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
8. Cover for the manager when required
Please note, you may be required to take part in an incident rota.
A full UK driving license and access to a car is essential for this role as travelling to and from operational sites is required.
What you’ll bring to the role:
9. Strong operational background with experience meeting H&S and environmental targets
10. Ability to analyse technical data and understand wastewater processes
11. Confident communicator who can engage across multiple teams
12. Self‑motivated, organised, and able to work independently
13. Mechanical or electrical understanding (desirable)
