The Company
We're partnering with a fast-growing UK fintech business operating in the automotive sector. Their platform helps car dealerships and repair centres offer flexible payment options to customers, while also simplifying payment management for parts, repairs and vehicle sales.
The business is well established, highly regarded in the market, and backed by recent investment. They're known for a modern, easy-to-use product that solves real problems for aftersales teams and finance departments. Due to expansion, they're now hiring a dedicated Business Development Consultant to cover the East Midlands and North East.
The Role
This is a field-based business development role focused on growing usage and revenue across an existing customer base, while also identifying new opportunities within your region. You'll work with franchise dealerships and repair centres, speaking to Aftersales Directors, Dealer Principals, finance teams and IT stakeholders.
The product is already embedded across much of the territory, so this role is about driving adoption, cross-selling additional solutions, and ensuring customers fully understand the commercial value. You'll manage your own diary, plan your patch, and take full ownership of regional performance.
You'll be supported with onboarding, product training and regular pipeline reviews, but day-to-day you'll be trusted to operate autonomously and commercially.
Responsibilities:
4. Manage and grow an existing portfolio of automotive dealership and repair centre customers.
5. Drive increased usage of a payment and finance platform across aftersales and sales teams.
6. Cross-sell additional products and payment solutions into existing accounts.
7. Build strong relationships with Aftersales Directors, Dealer Managers, finance and tech leads.
8. Travel across the East Midlands and North East, meeting customers on site.
Requirements:
9. Minimum 3 years' B2B sales experience.
10. Experience selling into the automotive sector required.
11. Confident, engaging and personable with senior stakeholders
12. Commercial, personable and comfortable working autonomously in the field.
13. Strategic mindset with the ability to grow accounts
14. Full UK driving licence required.
The Package
15. £45-55K base salary.
16. £12K uncapped OTE (monthly commission).
17. £550 per month car allowance or electric vehicle options.
