DEPUTY MANAGER VACANCY
Salary: £35,000 per annum
The Senior Management Team of CHD Living Ltd is seeking a full time Deputy Manager for Surrey Hills( Godalming) The Surrey Hills is a residential service that supports Older People in the local community to live their life their way.
Job Purpose:
To supervise, inspire and manage all care staff to achieve excellence through a multi-disciplinary approach. To be part of the Home's Management Team with a lead responsibility for management, support and direction of care services. To deputise in the absence of the service manager.
Professional Qualification:
NVQ / QCF in Health and Social Care Level 3 or above and be willing to work towards Level 5.
Experience of:
· Demonstrating and maintaining specialist knowledge, relevant qualifications and skills necessary for the role
· Delivering a good quality person-centred service for residents, in line with legislative, regulatory and CQC Fundamental Care Standards
· Implementing policies and procedures (including health and safety) in an effective manner Ensuring staff receive appropriate induction support, timely probationary reviews, regular supervisions and on going development through in-house training.
· Supervising staff, involving staff in decisions, providing guidance where needed
· Addressing concerns constructively and delivering positive outcomes.
· Working constructively as part of the Home management team and manage staff to the standards expected by the Senior Management Team.
Knowledge and Skill:
· Knowledge of CQC Fundamental standards, Health & Safety, COSHH, manual handling, infection control and good hygiene.
· Understanding of safeguarding adults
· Ability to identify risks in their working environment and knowledge to minimises/manages risk
