Purpose and Mission
As the key finance contact for the country, you'll lead financial accounting, reporting, and compliance across all business units and functions. You'll partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial statements. This role also drives process improvements and represents global finance standards locally.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
Country Financials
* Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and statutory requirements.
* Sign off on legal entity reporting and support local reviews to ensure financial accuracy.
Compliance
* Coordinate internal and external audits and manage tax compliance in collaboration with Group Tax.
* Ensure adherence to corporate and local accounting policies and maintain a strong control environment.
Stakeholder Management
* Identify and manage key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and governance between Business Units and GSSCN.
* Monitor SLA performance and maintain strong collaboration across finance and non-finance teams.
Process Excellence
* Support timely and consistent delivery of finance processes and drive performance improvements.
* Lead local implementation of system and process changes in alignment with corporate guidelines.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the finance community.
Other
* Manage local finance teams where applicable, including recruitment and development.
* Provide expertise for finance-related projects such as M&A and integration activities.
Skills
Qualifications & Experience
* Qualified accountant (ACA, CPA, CIMA) with 5+ years post-qualification experience.
* Strong expertise in IFRS and local GAAP, tax compliance, and financial risk management.
Leadership Competencies
* Proven ability to lead through change, inspire teams, and deliver sustainable high performance.
* Skilled in stakeholder engagement, accountability, and navigating ambiguity.
Functional Skills
* Deep accounting acumen and experience in financial reporting, audits, and balance sheet controls.
* Strong analytical thinking, business acumen, and strategic financial planning.
* Tech-savvy with proficiency in SAP, BI tools, MS Office, and SharePoint.
* Fluent in English and capable of driving process improvements and system implementations.
