As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Technology Division, you will be part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm's state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You will execute software solutions through the design, development, and troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, gaining skills and experience to grow within your role.
Job Responsibilities Execute standard software solutions, design, develop, and troubleshoot
Write secure, high-quality code using at least one programming language with limited guidance
Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot considering upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
Utilize tools within the Software Development Life Cycle to enhance automation and value
Apply technical troubleshooting to resolve basic problems
Analyze large, diverse data sets to identify issues and support decision-making for secure, stable applications
Learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills for secure, stable code development
Contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and practical experience
Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Experience coding in one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages in a large corporate environment
Demonstrable coding ability in at least one language
Experience across the entire Software Development Life Cycle
Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes (e.g., cloud, AI, machine learning, mobile)
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Exposure to cloud technologies like AWS
Familiarity with modern front-end technologies such as React
Experience with Databricks and building workflows
Knowledge of Java
