Your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing day-to-day operations and maintenance activities across HVDC converter station assets, ensuring high safety and availability standards
2. Overseeing contractor performance, monitor KPIs, and ensure maintenance work is delivered in line with contractual and operational requirements
3. Coordinating planned outages, emergency responses, fault rectification, and return-to-service activities with internal and external stakeholders
4. Leading operational budgeting, asset planning, and maintenance strategies to support long-term reliability and commercial performance
5. Supporting operational risk management, regulatory compliance, security procedures, and emergency response planning across all sites
You will need to have the following experience:
6. Minimum 5 years’ experience within HVDC interconnectors, power generation, transmission systems, or related energy infrastructure
7. Strong background managing operational and maintenance contractors within high-voltage environments
8. Degree qualified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
9. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate in a fast-paced operational environment
10. Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused with a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence
