Chef – Five Oaks (33 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days)We’re pleased to be recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Chef to join our friendly team of five at Five Oaks. If you enjoy producing high‑quality, well‑presented meals and being part of a supportive kitchen team, this role could be a great fit.
This position offers 33 hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days with weekends on rotation. You’ll take part in breakfast, lunch and dinner service, working shifts of 8:00am–3:00pm or 8:00am–6:00pm.
What you’ll be doing:Preparing and cooking tasty, nutritious meals in line with set menus
Delivering consistent food quality, presentation and portion standards
Providing input and ideas when menu changes are being developed by the wider team
Supporting a positive experience for residents and responding to feedback
Helping to monitor stock levels and report replenishment needs
Maintaining excellent hygiene standards and participating in daily cleaning routines
Following all Food Hygiene, Health & Safety and organisational policies
What we’re looking for:A passion for great food and excellent service
Experience working as a Chef in a similar setting
A team-focused approach and confidence supporting colleagues
A Food Hygiene certificate
Flexibility, reliability and a proactive attitude
