Salary range £28,030– £29,244 (depending on experience; 26/27 pay review pending)

The Role
In response to the increased demand for our services, we are seeking to expand our Graphics Team. Applications are invited for the position of Archaeological Illustrator at Supervisor level. This full‑time, permanent position blends office‑based and remote work.
Applicants should demonstrate experience as an archaeological illustrator in a commercial environment or equivalent graphic role in commercial archaeology.
In this role you will produce high‑quality digital images to convey complex information using GIS and Adobe. Familiarity with archaeological survey, excavation records, artefact illustration, and post‑excavation work is essential. You will champion innovative graphics techniques and high standards of data management, collaborating with a team to deliver superior graphics and reports.
Experience in photography, digital photo processing, photogrammetry, CAD, or 3‑D modelling is advantageous. Occasional on‑site work, including overnight stays, may be required; accommodation, subsistence, and transport will be provided.

Essential
* Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
* Experience using GIS (ArcGIS Pro or QGIS)
* Demonstrable skill in artefact illustration
* Ability to manage multiple complex projects and manage time effectively
* Sound knowledge of archaeological fieldwork: excavation, topographic and historic building survey
* Experience producing high‑quality graphics to publication standard
* Familiarity with heritage data standards and terminology
* High level of IT literacy, including Microsoft Office
Desirable
* Experience in reconstruction drawing
* Experience in photography and photogrammetry
* Experience with 3‑D modelling software (Blender, 3DS Max)
* Membership of CIfA (work toward this during the role)
* Full, clean driving licence
