Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment Organize and store kitchen equipment, utensils, and ingredients in designated areas, ensuring easy access and proper inventory management Assist kitchen staff with food preparation tasks, including peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients as directed Remove and dispose of waste and recyclable materials in accordance with health and safety regulations Monitor and maintain kitchen cleanliness during service, including wiping down work surfaces and floors Support the kitchen team by restocking supplies and ensuring all necessary items are readily available Operate and maintain commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Adhere to all food safety and hygiene protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health standards Respond promptly to requests from kitchen staff and work collaboratively to meet service demands Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to management immediately Qualifications Proven experience working in a kitchen or food service environment (preferred) Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment Physical stamina and capability to lift, carry, and move heavy items regularly Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards Strong teamwork and communication skills Reliability, punctuality, and a positive work ethic Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision Basic knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment operation (preferred) Food Hygiene Certificate Level 1 or equivalent (preferred) Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings and weekends as required
