Note: This is complete Hybrid role, would require travel to Aberdeen and London on need basis only.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
20+ years of experience in Gas Turbine design with hands-on exposure to full engine and component-level development.
Minimum 15 years of experience in designing and integrating liquid and gas fuel systems for gas turbines.
Proven track record in dual fuel skid development for land-based power systems.
Strong background in hazard identification, HAZOP, and risk mitigation for fuel systems.
Experience in supplier management, including technical evaluation and contract oversight.
Hands-on experience in fuel system testing, including flow, pressure, and safety validation.
Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., API, ASME, ISO) and transport infrastructure requirements.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Demonstrated experience working within integrated product teams.
Understanding of Manufacturability and Material application.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of dual fuel skids for land-based gas turbine systems.
Oversee installation and commissioning of fuel systems, ensuring alignment with project and regulatory requirements.
Conduct hazard and risk analyses for fuel system components and operations.
Manage supplier vetting, selection, and engagement to ensure quality and timely delivery of fuel system packages.
Develop and execute test plans to validate fuel system performance against specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and safety engineers.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and project stakeholders.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Attributes
Experience with London Underground or Transport for London (TfL) projects.
Knowledge of gas turbine control systems, overspeed protection, and vibration monitoring.
Familiarity with acoustic enclosures, fire & gas detection systems, and integration with legacy infrastructure.
