Adapt learning resources and teaching strategies to suit the child’s individual needs, guided by the class teacher.

Help maintain a calm, focused, and positive classroom atmosphere.

Encourage independence by fostering problem-solving, communication, and social interaction skills.

Collaborate with the teaching team and SENCo to monitor the child’s progress and development.

Communicate regularly with teachers and parents to provide feedback on the child’s well-being and achievements.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable but not essential.

A patient, caring, and approachable nature that builds trust and positive relationships with children.

Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with children, staff, and parents.

A genuine passion for helping children with additional needs flourish.

Flexible and proactive, able to respond to the unique requirements of each child.

Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is a plus but not mandatory.

A positive attitude and a great sense of humour!
