*Overview*We are seeking a skilled and dependable fully skilled *Shift PSV Bus & Coach Technician* to join our team at Gomersal. You will play a vital role in maintaining the safety, reliability, and roadworthiness of our modern fleet of Public Service Vehicles (PSVs), including buses and coaches.*Responsibilities** Perform scheduled servicing, inspections, and repairs on PSV vehicles.* Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.* Prepare vehicles for MOT testing, ensuring compliance with *DVSA* safety and maintenance standards.* Complete all relevant paperwork accurately, including job cards and inspection reports.* Adhere to all health & safety policies and maintain a clean and safe work environment.* Attend to urgent vehicle breakdowns or repairs during shift hours when required.* Communicate additional defects or issues promptly to the Engineering Supervisor or General Manager.* Contribute to continuous improvement in workshop practices and operational efficiency.*Requirements** *NVQ Level 3* (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or related field.* Proven experience maintaining PSVs, coaches, buses, or HGVs.* Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, suspension, braking, and electrics.* Ability to work effectively on both early and late shifts.* *Full UK Driving Licence* required (*Category D* preferred but not essential).* *IRTEC accreditation* desirable (or willingness to obtain it).* High attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and quality.*Working Conditions & hours*Shift-based workshop role:· Mon to Fri 1230 to 2030 hrs· Sat 0600 to 1400 hrs· Sunday 0800 hrs to 1600 hrs· Every other weekend off Friday, Saturday, Sunday & MondayOccasional off-site work for breakdowns and urgent repairs.Full PPE and company uniform provided.*What We Offer** Structured shifts to promote work-life balance.* Opportunity to work with a modern and well-maintained PSV fleet.* Ongoing training and development, including *IRTEC certification* support.* A professional, safety-led, and team-oriented environment.* Remuneration that reflects the shift patterns required.*Interested?*Apply now to become a key member of our experienced maintenance team—helping to keep our fleet on the road and our passengers moving safely every day.*To apply, send your CV and cover letter to:*Phil Smith General Manager: phil.smith@fourwaycoaches.co.ukRob Brigg Engineering Supervisor: rob.brigg@fourwaycoaches.co.uk*For more information, contact us on* 0113 250 5800Job Type: Full-timePay: £46,000.00-£48,000.00 per yearBenefits:* Company pension* Employee discount* On-site parking* Store discountWork Location: In person
