The Legal Recoveries team at DWF currently has an opening for a Paralegal in the Leeds office, with the flexibility of hybrid working - three days per week in the office and two working from home.
As a Paralegal, you will handle a variety of work types related to the recovery of clients’ debts, from the pre‑action stage through to enforcement of judgment. Your caseload will include both volume and niche matters, providing opportunities to develop and apply your skills effectively.
Responsibilities
* Proactively manage and progress your own workload in line with service level agreements, best practice and internal policies and processes
* Maintain awareness of relevant client strategies and ensure implementation on cases / projects
* Achieve individual KPI's and contribution to team performance at a high level, including financial and non-financial measures where applicable
* Deliver revenue for the team through existing business activity and developing own professional network
What will help you succeed in this role?
Essential
* Experience working in a fast‑paced office or professional services environment
* Strong computer literacy, including confident use of Microsoft Office applications
* Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
* Consistent attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to undertake research and a willingness to develop technical knowledge within a specific practice area
* Ability to manage workload effectively while working to deadlines
* Comfortable adapting positively to change
* Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple pieces of work concurrently
* Ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships at all levels of the organisation
Desirable
* Knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules
* Proven track record of success both in terms of financial results and client service
* Flexibility and adaptability in your attitude and approach to work
