We currently have a part time job opportunity at St GeorgesSurgery. You can join our team in therole of GP Receptionist/Care Navigator. The hours will be 5.5 hour per day over 5 days. Week one you will be required to work 7.45am till 1.15pm and week two, you will work 1pm till 6.30pm. You will also cover extended hours from 6.30pm till 8.30pm on a rota system with colleagues.

Main duties of the job
You will need to have good IT skills, familiarity withEMIS web and excellent interpersonal skills for our public facing work. This isoffered as a permanent position subject to satisfactory probationary period andDBS check.

Ours is a clinical team of seven regular GPs (five ofwhom are partners), one Advanced Nurse Practitioner, two Practice Nurses, oneNurse Associate and one HCA. Theclinicians are well-supported with a full team of administrative and managementstaff.
We are a forward-looking practice that promotes thedevelopment of ARRS roles and to this end, we currently host a PhysiciansAssociate, two Clinical Pharmacists, one Pharmacy Technician and a MentalHealth Practitioner.

Job responsibilities
a.Maintainingand monitoring the practice appointment system
b.Managementof repeat prescriptions, ensuring they are processed accurately and efficiently
c.Processpersonal, telephone and e-requests for appointments
d.Actionincoming faxes when necessary
e.Answerincoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers requestappropriately
f.Signpostpatients to the correct service
g.Initiatingcontact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members andexternal agencies
h.Readcode data on EMIS WEB
i.Photocopydocumentation as required
j.Dataentry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information asrequired
k.Inputdata into the patients healthcare records as necessary
l.Directrequests for information i.e. SAR, insurance / solicitors letters and DVLAforms to the administrative team
m.Manageall queries as necessary in an efficient manner
n.Carryout system searches as requested
o.Maintaina clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
p.Monitorand maintain the reception area and notice boards
q.Supportall clinical staff with general tasks as requested
r.Scanningof patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patientshealthcare records
s.Manageworkflow tasks on a daily basis
Complete opening and closing procedures inaccordance with the duty rota
