Our Client in the Automotive Industry (Retail Space), is seeking to employ an experienced Sales Manager to their team based in East London.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the automotive retail industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

Requirements:
* Matric and a relevant tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management.
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the automotive retail industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
* Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
* Strong financial acumen with experience managing departmental budgets.
* Knowledge of new and used vehicle sales operations.
* Experience in managing relationships with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers).
* Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
* Strong customer service orientation and commitment to high CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) levels.
* Computer literacy, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
* Assist in formulating and implementing ongoing vehicle sales policies.
* Maximize sales and profitability through customer satisfaction and retention to meet sales forecasts.
* Develop and manage the sales organization to achieve sales and profitability objectives.
* Ensure optimal stock levels of new and used vehicles on-site and on order.
* Control departmental expenses and ensure adherence to budget.
* Develop and implement sales growth strategies for new and used car sales.
* Motivate and lead the sales team to achieve company, retail, and wholesale sales targets.
* Set and monitor individual sales targets and performance metrics (e.g., fleet calls, daily contacts, demonstrations).
* Monitor all customer contacts, leads, and follow-ups to ensure conversion.
* Ensure cost control and profitability within the sales department.
* Maintain and enhance customer satisfaction levels.
* Manage the relationship between the dealership and OEM.
* Manage OEM scorecards and required monthly reports.
* Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and performance standards.
* Manage assets and vehicle debtors to benchmark levels.
* Conduct daily and weekly client visits to build and maintain strong relationships.
