The role As an Account Manager at Ride Shotgun, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of one of our major retail accounts, supporting the Senior Account Manager in delivering high-quality packaging design projects across a fast-paced FMCG environment. Working closely with our Creative Team, and collaborating with the Production Team where required, you will be responsible for managing projects from initial brief through to final delivery. You will ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on time, within budget, and in line with client expectations, brand guidelines, and internal quality standards. This role requires a highly organised and commercially aware individual who can confidently manage multiple projects simultaneously while building strong client relationships and acting as the key point of contact for day-to-day account activity. Key responsibilities Manage the day-to-day running of a key retail account, acting as the primary point of contact for ongoing projects and account administration. Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and a high level of service throughout the project lifecycle. Receive, interpret, and develop client briefs, translating requirements into clear and actionable briefs for the Creative Team. Coordinate packaging design projects from brief through to final delivery, ensuring work is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Work closely with the Senior Account Manager, Creative Team, and Production Team to ensure projects are effectively planned and executed. Lead client meetings and presentations, confidently presenting creative concepts, explaining design rationale, capturing feedback, and safeguarding the integrity of the creative work. Prepare detailed contact reports, maintain project trackers, and ensure all project documentation is accurate and up to date. Review and quality check work against client brand guidelines, packaging specifications, and project requirements, proactively identifying and resolving issues. Coordinate product photography projects where required, including arranging and tracking product samples, supporting shoot planning, attending shoots as required, and liaising with photographers, production teams, and other stakeholders to manage pre- and post-production requirements. Manage project costs, prepare estimates for client approval, monitor budgets, and ensure accurate and timely invoicing. Utilise and maintain multiple internal and client-side systems to manage workflows, approvals, project tracking, and reporting. Support continuous improvement of account processes and ways of working to drive efficiency and service excellence. Establish an understanding of the client’s internal structure, process and policy, applying this knowledge to your approach to account management. Ensure you have a sound understanding of the Ride Shotgun Business Objectives and are able to apply this in your day-to-day work. Accurately track your time within the agency management system, ensuring that your timesheet is kept updated daily. Contribute to all internal governance meetings, including Account Management, Sales and WIP meetings. Track / manage project budgets and time investment and advise line managers where there are inconsistencies. Support the Account Director in analysing and reporting on figures as required. Required skills Essential Previous experience in an Account Manager or Project Manager role within a packaging, design, branding, or creative agency environment. Experience managing FMCG packaging and/or print production projects from brief through to delivery. Strong understanding of packaging design development. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Experience presenting creative work and facilitating client feedback and approval processes. Strong attention to detail and confidence in quality checking creative and artwork outputs. Commercial awareness with experience managing project estimates, budgets, timelines, and profitability. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management systems. Desirable Experience working with major retailers or leading FMCG brands. Understanding of packaging production methods and print processes. Experience coordinating projects across multiple stakeholders. Knowledge of colour management and packaging specifications. Personal Attributes Highly organised and proactive. Strong relationship builder and communicator. Commercially minded with excellent attention to detail. Confident, professional, and comfortable presenting to clients. Collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with creative and production teams. Solution-oriented with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Curious, questioning, and committed to delivering high-quality work. Location and working hours This role will be based from either our Leeds office, 9am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. The role is open to hybrid working. Occasional travel to our other offices may be required.
