Teaching Assistant – Secondary Schools (SEN Support) Start Dates: September (with immediate cover opportunities available) Contract: Full-time and part-time roles available Location: Secondary schools across the local area We are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants to work in secondary schools, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). These roles are primarily for September starts, however there are also opportunities to begin working immediately in short‑ and long‑term cover roles, providing a great way to gain experience and secure ongoing work ahead of the new academic year. You will be supporting students across KS3 and KS4, working either on a one‑to‑one basis or within small groups, helping pupils to access the curriculum, manage behaviour, and make progress both academically and emotionally. Roles may involve supporting students with autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties, depending on school needs. The role will include: Supporting students with SEN in and out of the classroom Working alongside teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons Providing one‑to‑one or small group support Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement Supporting students’ social, emotional and academic development We welcome applications from candidates who have previous SEN or school‑based experience, as well as those with transferable experience from care, youth work, or support roles.
