This brand-new setting focuses on providing a nurturing, trauma-informed education to children and young people aged 11–16 with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Key Responsibilities: * Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons for SEN students. * Provide targeted one-on-one and small group support to promote learning and engagement. * Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student development. * Support the implementation and monitoring of Individual Education Plans (IEPs). * Track and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to teaching staff and parents. * Help create educational materials and resources to enhance lessons. * Work collaboratively with the wider school team to ensure a consistent and supportive approach. Qualifications and Experience: * Relevant qualifications or substantial experience in a Teaching Assistant role, ideally within a SEN setting. * Strong understanding of special educational needs and inclusive education strategies. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * A commitment to providing a nurturing and supportive learning environment. * Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team. * Minimum of a grade C (Level 5) GCSE in English and Maths.
