Overview
We are looking to appoint a meticulous individual who is highly organised and efficient to support the work of the Corporate Governance Team. As an experienced administrator with a track record of servicing Board level committees, the post holder will be part of an experienced and professional team but will be expected to work autonomously. This role focuses on providing robust administrative support as Committee Secretariat to the Board’s Committees to ensure the smooth functioning of activities in accordance with the Corporate Governance Framework. Reporting to the Corporate Governance Business Manager, and working closely with Executive Director Leads and Independent Member Chairs, the role entails providing administrative support for servicing the Board’s Committees including the development of committee work programmes and formal report writing.
Responsibilities
* Prepare, collate and disseminate committee papers and take and transcribe formal minutes.
* Develop committee work programmes and provide comprehensive administrative support for the Board’s Committees.
* Support the servicing of Board committees in line with the Corporate Governance Framework.
* Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate tact and diplomacy at all times, and flexibly cover annual leave, sickness and training as required.
Qualifications and skills
* In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and committee services.
* Advanced keyboard and computer skills, with good interpersonal and communication abilities.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate tact and diplomacy; flexible to cover leave, sickness and training.
* Welsh language: The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply. If you do not meet Welsh language requirements, learning options are available during employment.
