About The Role
PwC’s Business Partnering teams collaborate closely with employees to guide leadership decisions and shape business engagements. These teams are expected to be proactive, honest, and influential, using their insights to reflect and challenge the business while translating data into compelling narratives. Currently, there's an opening for a Manager in the Business Solutions Business Partnering (BSBP) team, which provides decision support for central functions with a cost base of approximately £0.7bn. Aligned with PwC's strategy of leveraging technology for better outcomes, the role offers commercial insight into support costs and a shared service model, reporting to a Finance Leader.
This is a 12-month secondment/FTC opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Strategy and Planning: Support Function and Finance Leads with insights and analysis for P&L management, lead specific business components, provide ad hoc analysis, and offer strategic insights to leadership.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with Function and Finance Leaders to prepare budgets and forecasts, delivering forward-looking reports and commentary to aid future performance management.
3. Performance Management and Commercial Solutions: Interpret monthly financial results, communicate findings, monitor financial performance against KPIs, and escalate issues requiring management action.
4. Financial Control and Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, provide local financial risk expertise, support complex queries, and assist in quarter and year-end audit processes.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Possess a relevant finance qualification, such as CA, ACA, CIMA, or ACCA (or equivalent), with a strong commercial mindset and business understanding.
* Demonstrate application of accounting standards, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
* Be action-oriented, self-starting, with a focus on continuous improvement.
* Excel at building relationships and trust with stakeholders, with strong communication skills.
* Have intermediate to advanced Excel skills and a technology-enabled mindset to drive change through technology.
* Knowledge of Alteryx and/or PowerBI is advantageous.
