Job Title: Assistant Catering Manager
Location: Based at a school in the Cranleigh area.
Contract: 52-week contract
Salary: £35,000
Shift Pattern: Mix of early and late shifts
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Organise and supervise food preparation and service.
2. Ensure catering services comply with all relevant food hygiene, health, and safety procedures.
3. Lead and manage the catering staff team daily.
4. Support the Catering Manager in training staff to meet standards.
5. Maintain effective stock control systems and records.
6. Manage stock levels to minimise wastage.
7. Resolve customer and employee complaints effectively.
8. Develop and maintain client relationships through regular communication.
9. Attend training sessions as required, which may be scheduled outside normal hours.
10. Ensure compliance with all statutory and company health and safety practices, including manual handling.
11. Follow all company policies, procedures, and contractual provisions.
12. Perform additional tasks related to the operation of the establishment as needed.
13. For education establishments, ensure compliance with statutory and company safeguarding regulations.
Education, Training & Qualifications
* NVQ in supervision and leadership.
* For education establishments, a satisfactory Enhanced DBS Disclosure or security clearance and a cleared Barred List Check are essential.
