Estimator/Quantity Surveyor – Commercial refurbishment – Central London\n\nWe are currently working with a Main Contractor with proven success across the UK specialising across a variety of sectors including commercial offices for both developers and tenants; retail, leisure and hospitality facilities; education schemes; and residential schemes for both developers and private owners.\n\nDue to Extended growth, they are now seeking an experienced commercially astute Estimator with strong Quantity Surveying capabilities to support both pre- and post-contract phases of a high-profile commercial refurbishment project.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n * Pre-Contract Estimating & Tender Preparation:\n Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and site visits, contributing to tender submissions and value engineering proposals.\n\n * Transition to Post-Contract QS Duties:\n Seamlessly step into a QS role post-award, supporting contract administration, cost reporting, and project financial control through to final account.\n\n * Subcontractor Engagement & Package Analysis:\n Assist in procurement by issuing enquiries, conducting take-offs, analysing returns, and helping to negotiate subcontractor terms to secure best value.\n\n * Cost Control & Commercial Reporting:\n Monitor project costs against budgets, assist with forecasting and monthly cost reporting, and highlight any commercial risks or opportunities as they arise.\n\n * Change Management & Valuations:\n Support the assessment and valuation of variations, manage change processes, and assist in the preparation of interim valuations and final accounts.\n\nRequirements\n\nMust have 4+ years’ experience in a relevant role\n\nMain Contractor experience is desired\n\nSuccessful candidates will have relevant degree level qualification\n\nBenefits\n\n£75,000 - £85,000
