Overview

Salary: £50,319

Independent Living Skills Lead — 37 hours per week. Fixed Term - 31/12/26 - Maternity Cover.


Responsibilities

* Lead the successful delivery of the Independent Living Skills curriculum with specific reference to the quality of teaching, learning and assessment. Maintain consistently high standards of learner outcomes and destinations.
* Be the primary contact and person responsible for Independent Living Skills learners; collaborate with colleagues on other campuses and support cross-college developmental projects, including annual leadership of aspects of such work.
* Teach up to 0.2 FTE each academic year depending on student numbers and wider College needs, including potential short-term cover and incidental teaching as agreed with the Head of School.


Requirements and Desirable Skills

* Desirable: ability to use the Welsh language at basic level (or willingness to undertake training).
* Applications may be submitted in Welsh and will not be treated less favourably than applications submitted in English.
* Safeguarding: Employment is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) if appropriate.
* Please note that successful candidates will be expected to pay for the Enhanced Disclosure and registration with the EWC.
