Band 3 Recruitment Support Officer
Location: Armagh
Type: Temporary
The client: A local public body based in Armagh
The role: The post-holder will provide administrative support to ensure the effective delivery of recruitment services. Responsibilities include:
1. Act as the first point of contact for recruitment queries, directing and resolving them promptly.
2. Provide administrative support to the Recruitment and Selection team, ensuring system effectiveness and procedure adherence.
3. Manage end-to-end recruitment activities in line with policies and best practices.
4. Maintain accuracy in inputting and processing recruitment data using HRPTS and other systems.
5. Review and update recruitment databases and reports to monitor progress and support objectives.
6. Assist in resolving escalated recruitment issues from the Shared Services Centre.
7. Prepare reports and documentation for stakeholders and senior staff.
8. Audit recruitment transactions and ensure data compliance.
9. Manage recruitment materials and stationery stock.
10. Deliver excellent customer service to candidates and hiring managers.
11. Participate in training and support team initiatives for continuous improvement.
Additional Information:
The Recruitment and Selection Shared Service Centre (RSSC) has vacancies until 30th June 2025, with potential extensions based on performance. Positions are available at Band 3 and Band 4 levels.
There are 6 Band 3 roles, with full-time hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm).
Requirements:
* Minimum of five GCSEs including English and Maths (Grades A-C) or equivalent, OR 18 months relevant experience.
* Willingness to undertake REC Level 2 Certificate in Recruitment Resourcing within 12 months.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, using own initiative.
* Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
* Effective communication skills (oral, written, electronic).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IT systems.
Desirable Criteria:
* One year of experience in a recruitment setting.
