Your role will be to supervise warehouse processes, ensure the department runs efficiently and meets company targets whilst maintaining a safe and tidy work environment. You will monitor and lead the warehouse staff; issue daily tasks and ensure they are completed in accordance with agreed KPI’s to support all Service Managers and engineer teams across the country. This is a fast-paced environment in which the ability to react proactively to changes is key.
The Role
You should demonstrate a high level of attention to detail. You will need to remain calm when the pressure mounts and act as a role model to fellow members of staff by supporting, guiding, and training them, encouraging a strong work ethos in line with company culture.
You will take an interest in the total operation of the business, be a key member of the team, aiding continuous improvement in overall company performance, reduction in order packing process time through warehouse to include improved stock management process, and internals work processing.
Responsibilities
* Responsibility of ensuring the professional and personal development of your team.
* Efficiency levels with waste removed from the process ensuring that all manpower is used effectively throughout.
* Ensure all training and development activity is undertaken for all operational staff so they have the right training to do their jobs effectively.
* Maintain a training skills matrix for the operational teams.
* Always maintain optimal levels of operational efficiency and resources, ensuring that operational procedures and processes meet the quality requirement and drive performance improvements through auditing processes and robust reporting mechanisms.
* Ensure warehouse staff offer excellent internal customer service including completing daily tasks as per company expectations.
* Ensure that external area’s secure and tidy.
* Ensure incoming goods area is emptied daily and correctly matched up by warehouse with customers’ orders for packing process and parts are checked for quantity and condition.
* Ensure quality of packing and all internal works is of expected and acceptable standard to be within the annually set company returns percentage target.
* Monitor and manage warehouse staff and to track work given to them, to lead daily huddles with them to set the day’s work and expectations in line with service department requirements.
* Complete weekly parts run when required.
* Provide assistance with Maintenance of department health and safety records to include H&S department and premises check list, PAT testing records, updating COSHH records with new substance data sheets.
Daily or weekly mandatory task to include, but not limited to: -
* Ensure the returned parts/collected patterns areas are audited weekly and match collection book entries, liaising with service and engineers to solve any arising issues.
* Efficiently manage goods inwards procedure, incoming and outgoing stock procedures.
* Ensure daily forklift checks are carried out daily and are recorded on Fleetcheck.
* Ensure weekly racking inspections are carried out and recorded.
* Follow progress on jobs where agreement has been given for specific dates and report back to staff as necessary to ensure commitments made to customers are fulfilled.
* Efficiently manage the end of month WIP and Stock Count requirements to ensure that ALL stock is counted accurately and all Internals produced during month has been logged for WIP.
* Follow weekly paperwork checks, zoning, de-zoning and returns processes relating to engineers’ work.
* Stock Management.
o Ensure weekly stock purchase request is made to the Purchasing; liaise with Purchaser where suppliers need to be chased for deliveries.
o Ensure that stock levels remain at optimum levels at all times and ensure that no job cannot be packed by way of lack of parts.
o Always maintain and enforce a clean and safe environment within the warehouse.

o To ensure that you support the Company’s culture of ensuring that customer satisfaction is given to all customers no matter how large or small.
o Provide support to all colleagues within the Warehouse Department (and the wider Company) where necessary, as instructed.
Key Skills, Characteristics and Experience
* Experience overseeing change, and implementing new processes is essential.
* Experience of delivering excellent Customer Service.
* A high degree of computer literacy to include a strong understanding of MS Office suite of programs.
* Ability to lead and drive continuous performance within a team.
* Team player with strong determination to succeed
* Excellent communicator, able to articulate and deliver company strategy and instructions effectively with excellent presentation skills, with an open and direct style.
Minimum Experience required
At least 3 years within a similar role and experience.

Mon – Thur – 8:00am – 4:45pm Fri 8:00am – 3:30pm with additional hours as/when required.
