Finance Director – Board-Level | Retained Search
We’re proud to be partnering exclusively on a retained basis to appoint a commercially astute Finance Director for a successful multi-site, privately owned business with a strong presence in its sector and plans for growth and investment. This is a pivotal board-level position, reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with the Group CFO. As Finance Director, you will be responsible for the entire finance function, playing a key role in driving strategic decisions and enabling commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the finance function, ensuring robust financial control and compliance
* Partner with the MD and senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives and growth
* Provide financial insight to support investment decisions, site development, and operational improvements
* Manage external relationships with banks, auditors, and other key stakeholders
* Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting across all sites
* Inspire and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a collaborative and proactive culture
About You
* A qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) with post-qualification experience.
* Commercially minded with a proven track record in multi-site, ideally in the leisure, hospitality, or property sectors
* Experience managing diverse revenue streams and capital investment
* Skilled in stakeholder management and business partnering
* A hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment
* High integrity and strong ethical standards are essential
* Experience of multi-site systems to drive efficient and insightful reporting
This role demands a finance leader with both a proven technical background and a clear commercial lens, and would suit an established Finance Director / Finance leader ready to step into a broader leadership role.
