Role
We’re seeking an experienced Global Events Manager to lead our international events portfolio and deliver exceptional customer experiences that drive pipeline generation and reduce churn. This is a strategic role that sits at the heart of our customer engagement and revenue growth initiatives.
Reporting to the Head of Global Marketing, you’ll be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing our flagship customer conference series across three continents, alongside a comprehensive programme of executive engagements, webinars, and strategic trade show participation.
Role Responsibilities
Strategic Event Leadership
* Own the strategy and delivery of our annual customer conference series across Canada, UK, and Australia (approximately 200 attendees per event, 600 total)
* Plan and execute our annual customer awards dinner and study tour programme
* Design and deliver high-impact executive-level dinner events to strengthen C-suite relationships
* Manage webinar programmes that support customer engagement and thought leadership objectives
* Collaborate with regional marketing leads to maximise impact at key trade shows and industry events
Commercial Focus
* Drive measurable pipeline generation through event engagement and follow-up strategies
* Create customer experiences that strengthen retention and reduce churn
* Develop event ROI frameworks and report on commercial impact across all events
* Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities through strategic event design and content programming
Operational Excellence
* Manage an annual events budget of £600k–£800k with full P&L accountability
* Oversee end-to-end event logistics including venue sourcing, vendor management, catering, AV, and travel coordination across multiple countries
* Negotiate contracts with venues, suppliers, and agencies to optimise budget and quality
* Manage relationships with event agencies and external partners
* Ensure flawless event execution with contingency planning for all scenarios
Stakeholder Collaboration
* Work collaboratively with regional marketing leads across Canada, UK, and Australia to align event strategies with regional priorities
* Partner with sales teams to ensure events support pipeline goals and customer relationship development
* Collaborate with product, customer success, and executive teams to develop compelling event content and programming
* Coordinate with internal teams on speaker preparation, customer case studies, and event communications
Audience Engagement & Experience
* Create innovative, engaging experiences that resonate with B2B software buyers and users
* Develop event content strategies that position ActiveOps as a thought leader
* Implement attendee engagement tactics before, during, and after events
* Gather and act on attendee feedback to continuously improve event experiences
Marketing Integration
* Align events strategy with broader marketing campaigns and demand generation initiatives
* Work with marketing operations on event registration, CRM integration, and lead management
* Collaborate on pre-event promotion and post-event nurture campaigns
* Ensure consistent brand experience across all event touchpoints
Skills and Qualifications
Experience
* 8–12 years’ experience in B2B events management, preferably within technology or SaaS sectors
* Proven track record of delivering large-scale customer conferences (150+ attendees)
* Demonstrable experience managing international events across multiple regions
* Strong background in managing significant event budgets (£500k+)
* Experience working in commercially-focused marketing environments with clear pipeline and revenue metrics
