Pharmacy Technicians without an accuracy checking pharmacy technician qualification will be considered but will be expected to work towards this as band 4 to 5 progression
This is an exciting opportunity for a pharmacy technician to join our dynamic, innovative and friendly team dedicated to improving our Patient Services. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and patient orientated pharmacy technician with experience and a passion in this area of work within hospital pharmacy. You will work with the dispensary team and the medicines management team to help implement, deliver and continually improve the technical support for both in‑patient and out‑patients and relish the additional challenge of acting as a deputy to the senior pharmacy technicians. You should have a keen interest in IT and a desire to further develop your management and IT skills.
Main duties of the job
Excellent communication skills and enjoying working as part of a large multi‑disciplinary team are essential. You will also need to be friendly, approachable, adaptable, flexible, willing to learn new skills and be committed to continuous professional development.
All applicants must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a pharmacy technician.
This is a full time post and the post holder will be required to participate in the weekend and late night duty rota.
Knowledge & Experience
* Hospital pharmacy experience
* Experience in education and training pharmacy staff
Education and Qualification
* ducation and Qualifications NVQ Pharmacy services Level 3 plus accredited underpinning knowledge (BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent) or equivalent
* Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician qualification, or currently undertaking
* Professional registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Management Qualification
