The BigID Consultant will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, and operation of an AI-driven data intelligence and data protection platform for a UK financial services end customer.
The role will focus on enabling data discovery, classification, remediation, and governance across hybrid cloud and enterprise environments, ensuring compliance with regulatory and security requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Deploy and configure the BigID AI data intelligence platform across enterprise environments.
* Conduct structured and unstructured data scanning and remediation across sources including SMB, SharePoint, and MongoDB.
* Define and apply data protection, classification, and governance policies, managing remediation workflows end to end.
* Integrate BigID with enterprise tooling including ServiceNow, CRT, and bulk encryption services.
* Manage Helm charts, Kubernetes cluster integrations, and multi-environment deployments (Dev, UAT, Prod, DR).
Platform & Infrastructure
* Support containerised platform deployments using Kubernetes and/or OpenShift.
* Work within AWS or Azure cloud environments, aligned to the end customer’s preferred cloud platform.
* Provide Linux command-line support, system administration, and troubleshooting.
Security & Compliance
* Enable data classification, retention, deletion, and privacy automation capabilities using AI-driven data intelligence.
* Implement and support IAM, credential management, and secure vault integrations (e.g. CyberArk, CSM).
* Ensure platform configurations meet security, risk, and regulatory compliance standards typical of UK financial services.
DevOps & Automation
* Develop and maintain automation using Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
* Build, deploy, and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
* Produce clear technical documentation and collaborate closely with infrastructure, security, risk, and governance teams.
Required Experience & Skills
* 5+ years’ experience in DevOps, Security Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure roles.
* Hands-on experience with BigID or similar AI-driven data intelligence, data discovery, or data governance platforms.
* Strong understanding of end-to-end software development lifecycles (SDLC).
* Experience operating within risk-managed and regulated environments.
* Practical experience with Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tooling such as JIRA.
This is an inside IR35 contract role working via umbrella company.
