Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Birmingham (3 days per week)
This is an exciting opportunity to join a client-side delivery team at the early stages of a major infrastructure programme. Initially based in the Birmingham office, you will transition to a major depot as the project progresses, playing a key role in taking the scheme through design and into delivery, with mobilisation planned for Q3 2028.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing contractors to deliver both design and construction packages, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget. You will work across multi-disciplinary interfaces, contributing to the successful delivery of complex works including civils, buildings and associated infrastructure.
Essential Requirements
Proven experience as a Project Manager within infrastructure, civils or buildings
Strong working knowledge of NEC 3 or NEC 4 contracts
Experience in a client-side or contractor-facing role
Demonstrable experience managing contractors through design and/or delivery phases
Understanding of commercial management, including change control and cost awareness
Experience working on complex, multi-disciplinary projects
Based within commuting distance of Birmingham and able to commit to site attendance requirements
Desirable
Experience within rail or major infrastructure projects
Background with client organisations such as TfL, London Underground or National Highways
Professional qualification (e.g. APM PMQ or equivalent)
Experience with M&E, or rail-specific elements such as track or OCS
CEMAR experience
