Senior Residential Support Worker .
You'll be joining a trauma-informed, therapeutic service that supports children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) through consistency, compassion, and structured care.

Salary & Benefits: £28,200 - £33,500
base salary (depending on experience and qualifications) £7,800 annual sleep-in allowance

Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership and support to care staff during shifts Deliver high-quality, therapeutic care to children with complex needs Take an active role in care planning, safeguarding, and team meetings Promote independence, emotional well-being, and positive routines Mentor junior staff and contribute to a positive, child-focused culture Ensure consistent implementation of behaviour support plans and safeguarding procedures
Requirements: Previous experience in a residential children's home (EBD or similar setting) A calm, resilient, and nurturing approach Confidence in leading shifts and supporting a small staff team Working knowledge of safeguarding and relevant legislation (Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards) Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and regular sleep-ins Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work toward it) Minimum age 21 (due to legislative requirements)
