About our group
The Factory Core Team / Component Program Management team under Product and Strategic Operation Management organization drives product and supply‑demand decisions across Seagate’s global factories to achieve business goals. We collaborate closely with the Design Center, Seagate global factories to launch new products and optimize manufacturing ramps, ensuring supply responds effectively to customer demand.
We also support Seagate’s products, supply and demand operation (PSDO) process to align long range inventory strategies with the business plan. This includes balancing demand and supply choices, reconciling top‑down financial objectives with bottom‑up operational realities and preparing scenario‑based analyses to support S&OP decision making.
About the role – you will
Product Qualification & Project Management
* Lead end‑to‑end product qualification strategies across wafer, slider, and HGA levels
* Coordinate cross‑functional teams to define and execute qualification plans across multiple programs
* Align with design centers, factories, and program teams on readiness, risks, and milestones
* Support technology transitions and ensure robust qualification across sites
Supply Chain Optimisation
* Act as a key interface between production, planning, PPE, and core teams to ensure sustainable supply
* Drive wafer second‑site strategy to balance supply risk and operational efficiency
* Lead qualification and material strategies to respond to supply constraints and allocation challenges
* Enable cross‑site alignment (STST, MNC, LCO, Asia) to optimise supply performance
Issue Management
* Serve as the focal point for product‑level issues across engineering, manufacturing, and integration teams
* Lead structured issue resolution including ownership, root cause analysis, and closure
* Manage factory and customer quality issues, including escalation and executive communication
* Drive scrap reduction strategies, particularly related to wafer qualification
Yield Improvement & Performance Management
* Drive Critical Yield Plan (CYP) execution across released products
* Partner with design and factory teams to define and execute Yield Improvement Plans (YIP)
* Identify design, process, and wafer‑level opportunities to improve yield and cost
* Provide data‑driven insights to support prioritisation and investment decisions
* Lead cross‑functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and program management
* Build alignment across global stakeholders (US, UK, Asia)
* Facilitate structured program reviews and governance
* Provide clear recommendations and escalation to senior leadership
About you
* Strong understanding of recording head/semiconductor manufacturing value chain
* Strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive execution across complex, cross‑functional environments
* Structured and data‑driven approach to problem solving
* Ability to influence stakeholders at both technical and leadership levels
* Strong communication skills with clarity and confidence in managing ambiguity
* Proven ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Your experience includes
* Degree in Engineering/Science (Physics, Materials, Electrical, Mechanical preferred)
* Extensive program/project management experience in multi‑site engineering or manufacturing environments
* Strong understanding of product qualification flows and factory operations
* Experience in supply chain optimisation and issue resolution
* Track record of driving cross‑functional initiatives from development through production
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable decisions
You might also have:
* Familiarity with yield management frameworks (CYP / YIP)
* Exposure to global S&OP processes and supply‑demand planning
* Experience working across multiple international sites and time zones

Employment details
Full‑time position, 39 hours per week, on‑site working.
