HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours but available to work additional hours as required to meet operational needs

A vacancy has arisen for a Plant Operator to join our team within our Yorkshire Water contract.
The role is to support the delivery of the sludge handling and movements within the Yorkshire Water wastewater treatment sites within the Yorkshire area. The candidate will need to manage the control of the plant, adjustment of running parameters, fault check and proactively comply with Yorkshire Water policies and procedures.
Flexibility is key within this role as there may be a requirement to travel between the sites as and when required to meet operational needs. The hours of work may also vary based on operations. Adopting safe working techniques and good overall operation practices are essential.

The role briefly encompasses the following duties:-
1. To operate Loadall telehandler to Load lorries with treated waste.
2. Stock out waste into windrows & maintain windrows or in to barn storage.
3. Maintain good housekeeping Standards of work areas and plant.
4. Carryout daily vehicle checks on mobile plant.
5. Wash down Mobile Plant.
6. Log product movements.
7. Maintaining the standards on any stocking pads and keeping drains and gulleys clear
8. Carryout additional tasks that the operator is trained and competent to do.
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills/experience/ attributes:-
9. Good understanding of site safety standards.
10. NPORS licence for a Loadall telehandler
11. Knowledge and Experience in a similar Role.
12. Hold NPORS telehandler license.
13. Good problem Solver
14. Good level of personal presentation and hygiene
15. Flexible approach to work
16. A Strong team player
17. Ability to work independently and on own initiative.
18. Good time keeping and willing to work overtime as necessary.
19. Good communication skills, both with colleagues, other contractors and clients at all levels
