Job responsibilities To work as part of the Occupational Therapy team in delivering a high quality and effective Therapy service to patients. With guidance from the Occupational Therapist supports a caseload of patients within the Occupational Therapy service. Supports and assists the therapist in patient related service provision, working within a multi-professional team. Monitors team stock levels and completes associated administrative activities. Works independently within established competencies, guidelines, policies and protocols and follows instructions provided by the Occupational Therapist. Identify patients who may benefit from assessment by OT and take referrals from other health professionals, screening notes as appropriate. Carries a non-complex caseload of patients delegated by the lead therapist Supports other team members where two staff are required for assessments or visits to patients home. Works independently when assessing patients, reporting outcomes to the therapist. Documents patient assessments, treatments and outcomes on electronic records Adapts clinical practice in response to frequently changing circumstances
