Production Operation Manager
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Production Manageer to join our well-established client based in Royal Wootton Bassett. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression within a reputable manufacturing business.
This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a Factory Operative, Machine Operative or Assembly Operative.
Shifts
• Monday – Thursday: 07:00 – 16:00
• Friday: 07:00 – 14:00
Rates of Pay
• £40,000 - £45,000 DOE

Day-to-Day Duties
As a Production Manager, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
1. Operations and Production
* Effectively forward plan work for Assembly and Machine shop
* Ensure Personnel available and manage annual leave
* Plan stock availability in a suitable timeframe for completion of jobs
* Liaise with purchasing coordinator for stock requirements
2. Materials and stocktaking
* Lead monthly stocktakes
* Manage and order timber / Ply
* Liaise with suppliers for best quality, availability and pricing
3. Customer service
* Assist in managing the relationship with the customer through written and verbal communication.
* Attend customer meetings on site or office visit, to discuss current and potential new business.
* Support any changes the customer may wish to make to product or service to help evolve the business relationship
4. General
* Full compliance with all company policies and procedures including Health & Safety policies/procedures
* Provide cover for the Operations Director, Business Manager duties and Yard Operative when required
* Understanding discussions and details within the office environment may be of a confidential nature under customer and employee GDPR regulations
Essential Skills
* Effective communication with customers and colleagues
* Good numeracy and organisational skills
* Ability to interpret drawings
* Able to multi-task and work under pressure
* Completer/finisher that takes accountability
* Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
* Able to prioritise effectively and exercise judgement, discretion and sensitivity to changing requirements and situations
* Forklift licence would be advantageous
