We are looking for a Strategic Procurement Manager in Warwick!
In this role, you will lead our global Strategic Gas Turbine Procurement team from our Warwick offices. You are expected to have a proactive, hands-on approach and actively collaborate with other departments to achieve targets.
You will play a key role in an international purchasing environment focused on growth in power generation products. Our customers include large national and international players, and we supply parts for various products in the aftermarket.
How You'll Make an Impact
* Lead and develop a global team of over 10 Strategic Procurement Specialists to meet procurement and business plan objectives.
* Continuously develop and implement purchasing and related processes.
* Conduct negotiations professionally, considering commercial, legal, and ethical aspects, in line with company policies.
* Support the team in planning negotiations, defining strategies, and obtaining approvals, ensuring alignment with pooling opportunities.
* Negotiate contracts at local, regional, or multi-site levels, including pricing, delivery, and payment terms.
* Align contractual terms with business needs by collaborating with commodity management teams.
* Lead cost reduction programs for the aeroderivative gas turbine product line.
* Manage contract negotiations and risk mitigation with suppliers, following Siemens Energy methodology.
* Provide status reports as needed.
* Maintain close partnerships with internal customers to ensure good customer care and early involvement.
What You Bring
* Experience as a Procurement or Supply Chain Manager or similar role.
* Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience, preferably in Aerospace, Automotive, Oil and Gas, or similar industries.
* Strong commercial, contractual, and project management skills.
* Well-structured, goal-oriented, and results-driven.
* Systematic approach with attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel skills.
* Good understanding of manufacturing cost structures and market indices.
* Bachelor's degree in a technical field, economics, or supply chain management.
