Job Title: Children’s Residential Carer (Level 2) / Residential Care Officer Level 2 (£32,597 - £35,412 Pay Award Pending)
Location: Eastgate Children’s Home, Sleaford
Working Pattern: Full time, permanent, 37 hours per week, rota-based including sleep‑ins

About the Role
As a Level 2 Children’s Residential Carer (Residential Care Officer Level 2) you will support children’s development, lead a team, and manage household tasks. You will also build and maintain resilient relationships with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
* Supervision and Shift Leading
* Developing projects and direct work with children
* Mentoring new staff and leading practice areas
* Chairing professional meetings
* Managing household tasks and preparing young people for independent living
* Building and maintaining resilient relationships with stakeholders
Qualifications
* Passion for care and deep commitment to helping children and young people grow socially and emotionally
* Willingness to undertake a Level 3 QCF qualification in working with children in residential childcare or holding a relevant Level 3 QCF qualification
* Ability to be a key worker, supervise staff, lead shifts and work under pressure
* Strong report writing, record keeping, IT skills and experience
Salary & Benefits
Salary: £32,597 - £35,412 plus a sleeping‑in payment of £41.78 and mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile (Pay Award Pending). Overtime paid at time‑and‑a‑half. Opportunity to earn an extra £5,000 - £10,000 on top of the basic salary.
