Mechanical Design Engineer – Scenic Sign Corp.
Location: Nelson (North West)
Salary: £45,000 – £48,000
Join a fast‑growing engineering group that recently expanded through acquisition. This role focuses on bespoke bulk‑handling and process equipment projects for major food manufacturers. Design engineers work in a collaborative office environment.
Project Work Typically Involves
* Dry and wet ingredient handling systems
* Pneumatic conveying solutions
* Process‑equipment integration
* Automated material handling and robotics
* Upgrades, refurbishments and service‑led engineering tasks
What They’re Looking For
* Strong background in mechanical design, ideally with experience in material or liquid handling, process equipment, or chemical separation
* Solid 3D CAD capability, ideally using Autodesk Inventor
* Ability to deliver bespoke engineered solutions from concept through to manufacture
* Confident working in a project‑led environment and collaborating closely with engineering and production teams
* Experienced designers preferred, but capable mid‑level engineers with relevant project exposure are also encouraged to apply
The role is primarily on‑site in Nelson, benefiting from excellent motorway access. Some flexibility may be possible where appropriate.
