Senior Management Accountant – Team Lead, Global Business Services

As a Senior Management Accountant, your primary responsibility is to oversee the integration of newly acquired clinics into the respective RTR systems, processes and overall ways of working in collaboration with GBS and Genpact RTR teams. You will also partner with local market-based Merger & Acquisition, Local Finance and Global Acquisition Finance colleagues to ensure that GBS in partnership with our outsourced provider Genpact are operationally ready for day 1 trading with any new acquired clinic for all Record to Report activities.
Key aspects of this role include full oversight of month end close execution and reporting as a result of the RTR transactional month end close activities performed by Genpact. Collaboration with Genpact, GBS Integrations R2R Tower Lead and GBS Regional Accounting Leads will be regular and important to ensure that each month end close is accurate and timely. You will work closely with our GBS RTR Global Process Owner and Genpact to drive continuous process improvement and leverage technology and automation tools to optimise processes, workflows and reduce manual activities for clinics based in MLE.
This role is a key position within GBS and ensures alignment to our group strategy in the integration of newly acquired clinics, enabling consistent and efficient balance sheet management and a month end close that is accurate and compliant with IFRS and GAAP statutory requirements. IVC Evidensia is undergoing significant change, and you will need to embrace and drive that change. The role requires strong analytical and leadership skills, extensive knowledge of global RTR practices, the ability to navigate complex balance sheet processes, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a rapidly evolving organisation.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
* Oversee the end-to-end month end reporting for multiple countries and regions in collaboration with multiple stakeholder groups to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with country CFOs, Group Finance, GBS and Genpact management to ensure seamless balance sheet reporting for all newly acquired clinics in Canada.
* Ensure compliance with global group policies, regulations and reporting requirements in each country within your region.
* Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of balance sheet reporting.
* Stay updated with IFRS/GAAP legislation, industry trends, and emerging technologies in global accounting management.
* Develop and monitor KPIs and metrics to assess month end reporting performance and ensure SLAs are met for all newly acquired clinics.
* Oversee and manage relationships with external and internal auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders for audits and compliance checks with GBS RTR Integrations and Genpact Integrations.
* Provide strategic guidance and recommendations on balance sheet management for all newly acquired clinics in Canada in partnership with local finance leadership.
* Stay informed about industry best practices and participate in professional networks to foster knowledge exchange.
Experience/Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CPA, ACCA, CIMA).
* Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
* Proficiency in a second language (e.g., French) is preferable.
* Proven track record of effective leadership in a complex RTR function, including working with RTR external partners and leading change.
* Knowledge of local finance reporting, regulations and compliance across multiple countries and regions is preferable.
* Extensive experience in managing relationships within a finance reporting environment.
* Proficiency in finance software/systems (e.g., Oracle, Blackline, Open Accounts).
* Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to lead a diverse team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
* Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to drive process improvements and optimize RTR operations.
* Strong analytical skills to assess P&L and Balance Sheet data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
* Understanding of data protection regulations and confidentiality requirements in handling financial information.
* Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
* Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with changes in global finance regulations and best practices.
