Overview
Occupational Therapist role with the East Integrated Rehabilitation Team, based primarily at Liskeard Community Hospital, Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
This post is open to newly qualified professionals and those returning to practice. We welcome applications from individuals at the start of their career or re-entering the workforce.
Responsibilities
* Provide a high standard occupational therapy service.
* Assess and treat/manage patients, including those with acute, complex and/or chronic presentations, as an autonomous practitioner.
* Supervise and delegate to allied health professional support workers.
* Work as part of the East Rehab Therapies Team to ensure high-quality intervention and an efficient service for patients.
* Practice as a lone worker under the supervision of a senior Occupational Therapist.
* Provide supervision for support staff and participate in Student Education.
* Work flexibly across all areas of the East Integrated Therapy Team; seven-day working may become an operational requirement in the future (current service is Monday–Friday, excluding Bank Holidays).
* Engage in regular clinical supervision and continuing professional development.
Qualifications and Experience
* Essential: HCPC registered.
* Essential: Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy (and professional qualifications taken in English or equivalent IELTS if applicable).
* Essential: Evidence of working in an NHS setting.
* Essential: Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team.
* Essential: Understanding of the roles of colleagues in health and social care; up-to-date clinical skills; understanding of conditions that can result in long-term disability.
Other Requirements
* UK professional registration is required.
* Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required in line with policy.
