We have an excellent opportunity for three Assistant Educational Psychologists to join our Educational Psychology Service here at Wokingham Borough Council, on a Full-Time, Fixed-Term (20 months) basis.
As an Assistant Educational Psychologist, you will work under the guidance of a Senior Educational Psychologist to enhance the delivery of evidence-based strategies supporting children and their families towards better outcomes. You'll focus on one of three specialist areas: Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), Early Years, or Neurodiversity.
You'll research best practice and the most recent developments in your specialist area, sharing findings with the Senior Educational Psychologist, the wider EP service, and stakeholders including educational settings, health colleagues and Early Help services. You'll co-deliver training with colleagues on topics related to supporting children experiencing barriers to their progress and well-being.
Working within your specialist area you will also have the opportunity to collect, analyse and report on data related to the impact of EP Services' activities with children and families. Working in partnership with educational settings, parents, carers, and colleagues from Children's Services and health services, you'll contribute to better outcomes for children educated in Wokingham and/or looked after by Wokingham Borough Council.
